We get a lot of enquiries here at Epic Nail HQ from our customers asking what's the best way to store their polish? Where do I store it? How can I get a longer life out of my polish? And some horror stories of storing polish gone wrong...let's just say refrigerators and Epic Nail Polish do not mix well!
So we thought that we would address all of our most asked storage questions here!
Q. What's the best way to store my polish?
A. We recommend storing your polish upright in a box. Our new packaging boxes are the perfect size to store all your Epic Nail products in. In our small box you can store all of your polishes and in our larger boxes your lamp and nail accessories. It's very important to store your polishes upright so when the pigment settles it is settling evenly on the bottom of the bottle instead of nooks and crannies if it's lying on its side. An even settling of pigment means that when you go to use your polish again simply rubbing the bottle between your hands and a good shake will evenly distribute the pigment again.
Q. Where do I store my polish?
A. The best place to store you polish is in a cool dark place. Your first thought may be your bathroom cupboard - think again. The varying temperature of your bathroom disturbs the formula of the polish and can lead to glugginess and lumps. We recommend a place with a constant cool temperature. So under your bed if your bedroom stays cool all day/night or your linen cupboard are generally your best options.
Q. How can I get a longer life out of my polish?
A. If you are following our suggestions for storage this should help you get a longer life out of your polish. But another extra tip - before each use (or if they haven't been used in a while every now and again) rub the polish vigorously between your hands and shake for a minute or so. This helps distribute any settled pigment and warms up the polish a little. It disburses any lumps and evens out the polish to reduce any gluginess. Also when using your polish make sure you do your manicure out of direct sunlight - beware of windows etc any exposure to sunlight or the light of your lamp can begin to cure the polish which will harden on your brush and make your polish lumpy. Once your polish has turned there's nothing you can do to save it.
And just to conclude a list of do NOTs:
