What is the Difference between UV Nail Lamps & LED Nail Lamps?
The UV Lamp was the original product used to cure shellac nails. It is cheaper than an LED Lamp and will essentially do the same job. However, the UV Lamp takes longer to cure the polish (120 seconds).
The amount of UV light used to cure you nails is comparable to sticking your hand in the sun for a short period of time, however if you did this for too long your hand would start to tan. Similarly if you leave your hand in the UV Lamp for too long, your fingertips will do the same.
UV Lamps will give you about 1000 hours of use and the bulbs are replaceable.
Boasting a huge 50,000 hours of usage, the LED Lamp is extremely durable so the bulbs will not need changing.
Imagine how many times you could do your own shellac nails at home!
The UV Lamp will work with all shellac nail polishes. The LED Lamp will only work with genuine LED shellac nail polishes, like Epic Nail CCO shellac nail polishes.
Led Lamps have a faster curing time of approximately 90 seconds and will not tan your fingers.
Both Lamps are compact, great quality and easy to use.
While these two types of nail lamps have their own small drawbacks they will both give you fantastic results every time.
Epic Nail offers you both these products so it is up to you to decide which one is right for you.
